Natural Mineral Makeup and Cosmetics: Natural Protection
from the Sun
Did you know that natural mineral makeup and cosmetics
can actually be good for your skin and help reduce premature

You already know that you should wear sunscreen every day

Mineral Makeup Works on Dry or Mature Skin Too
Some people with
dry or mature skin are skeptical of trying a natural mineral
makeup because they think the powder will settle in their
creases and make fine lines and wrinkles more obvious. The
great news is that this doesn't happen! It also doesn't make
your skin look shiny or greasy.
Easy Application
It is easy to control
how much you use and and best of all, it looks natural. You
don't have that "made-up" look that you can get
with traditional foundations. Powdered mineral foundation
is simple to apply. You just tap some into the lid of the
container, twirl your brush in it and tap off the excess.
You apply it with a twirling buffing motion. If you need more,
apply a little more. It looks natural yet provides excellent
coverage. You can get complete coverage for skin conditions
like acne, rosacea and redness following treatments like chemical
peels. I also like that you don't have messy fingers or bacteria-filled
makeup sponges to deal with.

Bare, natural foundation
is all the rage now and many cosmetic companies are coming
out with new brands. However, you need to carefully read the
label. My philosophy is pure is better. The higher quality
brands will only contain 100% pure crushed minerals (titanium
dioxide, zinc and a little mica, which helps deflect light
away from wrinkles and lines). They do not contain talc or
chemical preservatives, fragrance or waxes and other chemicals.
I've found that many drugstore brands these extra, unnecessary
ingredients. My favorite brands are Bare Escentuals
