Skin Care After a Slimming Cure
Everybody's happy when thanked to determination and a
carefully chosen weight loss program comes to lose the extra
pounds. But afterwards it often happens that we have to
worry about our skin, because it sags due to significant
weight loss.
So we have to fight perseverantly in order to revitalize
our skin also. There are lots of disposable tools and beauty
products for this. Here are a few of them, together
with some reasons of weight loss caused skin problems.
Fatty acids
A weight loss procedure is in fact an attack against the
skin. And the more severe the chosen weight loss program
is and the more weight we lose the more aggressive effects
has our skin to suffer. One of these is the loss of beneficient
fatty acids. When we want to lose weight we try to get rid
of the unwanted fat. But with this process we lose useful
fatty acid as well, which are essential for our skin. These
assure tenderness, silkiness and softness to it. In addition

6 essential fatty acids take part not just in the
conformation of the skin, but also of the hair and nails.
So if we focus on the wellbeing of our skin we have to
keep in mind that these substances compose a useful layer
on the skin helping it to maintain it's flexibility and
defending it from desiccation. These substances can be found
in vegetable oils, like primrose or black-currant-seed oil.
If these are not part of our diet we should resettle them
or take some nutritional supplements. As talking about skin
care it's reccomended to use oily creams, body lotions with
natural vegeteble oils. These kind of skin care products
usually contain extracts of oily seeds and fruits and are
very effective. Due to their skin-friendly components they
work off easily in the skin. Their active substances nourish
the skin, giving back the starch of it and helping in the
complex regeneration of the skin after an intensive weight
loss process.
Advice: A three-week, intensive cure with an oily body
lotion of the highest concentration level can be beneficial.
Intensive hydration
We should not forget that due to the loss of fatty acids
the selfhydrating system of the skin could be distroyed
as well. To cure the problem drink at least 2 litres of
mineral water every day and choose a body lotion wich has
powerful hydrating effects also.
Advice: Hydrating creams work off better if you use them
on wet skin. So after taking a shower don't dry your skin
completely, but applicate your body lotion on the wet skin.
